There's always something going on at O'K Arabians!!

2004 & 2005
2004 and 2005 has brought many changes to our farm:

  •  In 2004 we lost our sweet *Transjordania II at the age of 28.
  • In the spring of 2005 our beautiful QB Coquette (WN Santana x *Omaha) died suddenly.   The year before we were successful doing an embryo transfer that produced her gorgeous daughter by *Sasaki, Cocoquetta.  She is certainly special.
  • Congratulations go to Deanna Knapp on her new *Sasaki filly.  This stunning filly is a full sister to this year's exciting colt owned by Lisa and Jud Beall.  She is surely a great addition to Deanna’s broodmare band and I know she is looking forward to some fabulous babies out of Sasakis Coqueta.  Congratulations, again!
  • We want to thank Robert, Donna, and Matt Watkins on the purchase of Sakita, the stunning *Sasaki daughter out of Jaleas ET.  The halter winning young lady is now residing in Missouri and currently in foal to Magnum Psyche for an early spring 2006 foal.  Also, congratulations on their purchase of the lovely Cimero daughter, Cia HA, who is in foal to *Sasaki. An exciting foaling season for the Watkins, for sure.  Congratulations also on the purchase of the young stallion by Magnum Psyche, Magnum Fame, who has brought them much excitement.  He has been a champion in the halter ring and now is beginning his career in the Western Pleasure division of performance.    We will miss this gentle stallion.
  • *Sasakis Samurai, a very special colt, has left for his new home in Pennsylvania.  Samurai is named for the great fighter he was after a very difficult birth in which we all thought he wasn’t going to survive.  He let it be known that he was not going to give up and he didn’t expect us to either.  Joy Piconne and Don Parker of Summerwind Farms are the proud new owners of this gorgeous colt.  He is a full brother to Sakita and we all feel he has an unlimited career in whatever he does.  He will carry on for his great sire and he knows the future is his!
  • Also going to Summerwind Farms in the spring of 2006, is Mermaid Mariposa (Barbie, as we call her), an exceptional daughter of Chozen (*Barich de Washoe x *Makora) and the beautiful *Sasaki daughter, Brieaki.  Barbie will be bred to *Sasaki and Brieaki, who is in foal to *Granizar, will be rebred after she foals.
  • Brieaki's *Granizar baby will make her new home in New York with Patty Inglese. Congratulations to Summerwind Farms on the purchase of these great foundation Spanish mares and stallion and to Patty on this very special baby.
  • Congratulations to Jud and Lisa Beall of Lost Angel Arabians on their gorgeous *Sasaki colt out of the lovely mare, Amuleta de Espana.   He is another stallion prospect destined for greatness.  He is tall and gorgeous! Trots! And has that incredible look at me attitude.  He certainly knows he is special!  He too, will carry on for his sire in the future.  Amuleta de Espana is back in foal to *Sasaki for a 2006 baby.
  • Paradise Rim Arabians, owned by Mary and Jerry Durgin of Spokane, Washington, was devastated with the loss of their beautiful mare, Seranata, *Almansor x Jaleas ET.  While she left behind a stunning, seven week old *Sasaki daughter, to take her place, the loss of their beautiful mare left them heartbroken.  The gift she left behind is priceless.
  • Pam Kabir’s beautiful Encore Ali daughter, Alia Jareda, is in foal to *Sasaki for a spring baby.  The mare is rare indeed, and her pedigree is so hard to fine.  Alia, as she is affectionately called, is a dream come true.  She has an incredible English Pleasure trot, a disposition we all want in our barns, and she excels in working cow horse, as well.  What a baby this will be!
  • The November 2005 issue of The Arabian Times magazine ran a wonderful article on *Sasaki.  We greatly appreciate the time and thought that went into the article.  It was beautifully done.  What a wonderful tribute to a stallion who has contributed so much to the Arabian breed.

We want to thank all who have bred to our stallions and wish everyone
much success in the future years.
