Paula seems to have a knack for finding these
wonderful old Spanish stallions that have not been utilized on Spanish
mares and then sharing them with other Spanish breeders. In this
case, however, she didn't find *Granizar; he found her! His owner,
Patti Inglese, was needing to reduce her herd and wanted *Granizar to go
to a home where he would be utilized to produce Spanish babies. She
mentioned this to a friend who suggested that she get in contact with Paula.
Like *Zaon, *Granizar had lived in a loving home, but of the 43 foals that
he has produced, only a handful were straight Spanish. That will
soon be remedied as daughters of *Sasaki, *LA Saguro, and Aerik are already
booked to him.
*Granizar
is one of those stallions who has proven to be quite versatile. He
has been shown in halter, hunter, and native costume, but the class he
performed best in was english pleasure. Injury to his knees has prevented
a further show career.
*Granizar has tested SCID clear. His semen has passed
inspection and is suited for transport. He's 22 years old and in
great shape. He is the perfect choice for those seeking a sporthorse
